Raffles Offers the Latest Courses in Interior Design

Overview:

Raffles Institute Mongolia aims to provide our students with an exciting opportunity to learn the latest interior design practices.  We start with interior design foundations and progress to advanced topics in interior design which prepares our students for further study into our Northumbria University degree program.

Students study core courses in the first two semesters and then progress into more specialized courses in the third and fourth semesters.  In the final semester students study an Internship Program where they work for a Mongolian firm.  Students can choose internships in interior design working for a variety of firms including construction companies, architecture firms, engineering firms, and furniture manufacturers and governmental institutions as examples.

Upon graduation students are offered an opportunity to complete a top-up degree program with a duration of 15 months which leads to a prestigious UK Bachelor of Science, International Qualification.  Raffles Institute Mongolia has a partnership with Northumbria University, UK.  The Raffles – Northumbria University Program in Interior Design is taught fully in Ulaanbaatar at the Raffles campus.  Northumbria University is an award winning educational institution known for its progressive research and practical learning programs.

Final Internship

Internship:

Students study four practical elements of the Interior Design Advanced Diploma including Design Studio I which is a residential interior design practical learning experience.  Students also Construction Studies II, Design Studio III with a focus on office design for commercial real estate and Design Studio IV which gives students exposure to design in the restaurant and hospitality sector.  Students then complete a final internship with a Mongolian firm where they have an opportunity to further develop their Interior Designer skillset.
