Teachers, or Bagsh, as called in Mongolian language, are the people in our lives that greatly make a huge impact in all students’ life. Teachers impart their knowledge, guide students from young and bring students towards the correct path.
Teachers’ task in life is that simple to many people, but the effort and hardship that they suffer to educate the younger generation is something everyone should be proud off and students to be grateful of.  Raffles International Institute Mongolia (RUB), the largest private education provider in Asia Pacific, has decided to do its part in thanking the hard work for the teachers. Public speaking training and competition was planned for all high schools teachers in Mongolia. RUB believes public speaking is the art that teachers need and RUB is prepared to arm teachers in the art of speaking confidently.
The first high school who had agreed to take part was the 23rd high school. It was held on 7th Sept 2011. Led by Director Ms.Uyanga  Tsakhilgaan, 16 teachers attended the training session. The training session was conducted by Mr. Ronaldo Lihayan Baya-On, English lecturer, English Department.  The teachers were taught on the essence of public speaking. Participants were taught on overcoming speech anxiety, understanding the speech context, arranging speech, methods of delivery, voice elements and body language.The correct wording, the tone of speech, the correct emphasis on certain words and expression were taught to the teachers to make an impactful and meaningful speech.

The training proves valuable to the teachers. A topic has been set for the competition on public speaking for the teachers.
The competition will be held 1 month later at RUB. The teachers who had participated were very excited and took part actively in the training. After the training session, many had asked when the next training would be, as they were interested to learn more!
This is a small contribution  from RUB to show its gratitude to all Bagshs in Mongolia. Many other high schools had indicated their interest to participate in the training session. Training sessions are planned.
RUB will be planning more activities in the future for the public service sector. RUB, as part of the large education family in Mongolia, will do its part in helping not only to train future leaders, but also to assist the teachers who are guiding these future leaders right now.
