| Charity Fashion Show at Chinatown |

Its being put on by a group of young marketers from the Fashion Marketing Department of Raffles Design Institute, who are "proud to be helping to promote the distinct beauty of the Orient – its cultures as well as its rapidly growing fashion scenes. The objective is to support young talents, oriental cultures and its elements, as well as local charity organizations." The local designers are Yi Hui, Helen Lee and Simon Wang, while monies raised will go into efforts to support the victims from the earthquake and mudslide through Red Cross Society of China, and helping children with heart disease through Heart to Heart Shanghai. The singers are Sally Kwok, Frank Bray and Reina, while Sally will also be hostessing the evening alongside Chinatown Charlie. And fear not, the dancers will also be in attendance to get pulses racing between each collection. A night of glitz and glamour and feeling good about it all. Meanwhile, if you can't wait until Thursday to get your Chinatown fix, they have a performances of Blithe Spirit running early week nights throughout September. |
