Raffles International Institute celebrated” Tsagaansar” with High School Principals.

With the Mongolian traditional holiday ”Tsagaansar” around the corner, Director of Raffles International Institute, formerly known as “Hartford Institute”, invited High School principals and managers on Friday evening for a celebratory dinner. Our readers know this institute very well, since itsestablishment in Mongolia in 2005. This is the first international degree provider in Mongolia, with fellow colleges and institutes in 14 countries. Headquartered in Singapore, the institute offers international bachelor degree in commerce and design from Raffles College of Design and Commerce, which is accredited by the Australian government. Currently there are more than 200 Mongolian young people studying in this institute.

WORLD HABITAT DAY 2011

The various countries all over the world have celebrated the UN Habitat day on the month of October.  The UN-Habitat's Cities and Climate Change Initiative (CCCI) seeks to enhance the preparedness and mitigation activities of cities in developing and least developed countries. It emphasises good governance, responsibility, leadership and practical initiatives for local governments, communities and citizens. Building on UN-HABITAT's long experience in sustainable urban development, the Cities and Climate Change Initiative helps counterparts to develop and implement pro-poor and innovative climate change policies and strategies. CCCI also is developing a suite of tools to support city-leaders and practitioners in addressing the impact of climate change (adaptation) and to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions (mitigation).  To these ends UN-HABITAT is working closely with a diverse range of partners: donors, governments at all levels, other UN agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations, institutions of research and higher learning, capacity building and training agencies, land and property organizations, and private sector entities, among others.

Raffles International Institute Welcomes October 2011 Intake students and awarding of Scholarship Award

10 Oct 2011: Raffles International Institute Mongolia welcomed the October 2011 intake students to school on the 10th Oct 2011. New students from the various majors (Marketing, Management, Finance and Interior Design) came to school officially for the first time to embark on a new journey in their life.
The Orientation programme kicked off with Mr. Henry Tan, Director, giving a welcome speech to the new students. The new students were given an inspirational speech by Mr. Henry Tan, who has listed out the importance of studying hard, but at the same time enjoy the process of studying at Raffles.

Donation to State Orphanage Center by Raffles International Institute Mongolia Staff

Raffles International Institute Mongolia (RII) had participated in Donation Week, organized by The Rotaract Club of Ulaanbaatar. Staffs of RII had come together and donated many items to the orphans at the State Orphanage Center. RII will continue to contribute positively and meaningfully to the society. This is part of RII’s corporate social responsibilities.


Although donation week is over, all students and staffs are encouraged to give whenever they can, to help the needy. If you do have anything that you would like to donate, kindly proceed to the Student Services counter and inform what you can donate and RII will assist in handling over the donations to the State Orphanage Center.

 
Memorandum of Understanding Between Rotaract Club of Ulaanbaatar and Raffles International Institute Mongolia
